GangChan is a 6,462 m (As CKNP) peak in the Shigar valley of the Karakoram range close to Spantik peak. This is one of the unclimbed peaks challenging the mountain daredevils all around the world. GangChan is in Saisko village of Shigar district. There is no prior climbing information available about the peak and the locals rectify that. If you are a climbing enthusiast looking for new venues and challenges this is the ideal mountain for you. Be the first to climb Gangchan peak. The expedition starts from Skardu a 6 hours drive will take us to the Saisko village and a 3-4 hours steep hike to the Gangchan Peak Base Camp. Anyone who has prior climbing experience of a 5,500m mountain in the Karakoram, Himalayas, Alps, or anywhere in the world. The peak is a snowy steep wall with many crevasses on the way to the top. It is a serious undertaking for Alpinist.

On the first day of the Gangchan Peak Expedition and climbers will be received by one of our staff from Islamabad Airport and escorted to the hotel.
You can spot our staff holding our company card at Islamabad Airport. You are bound to provide flight details 3 to 4 days before arrival. Our staff will pick you up and transfer you to a partner hotel in Islamabad close to Margalla hills. At the hotel, after relaxing and resting clients are bound to pay their dues upon late arrival payment of dues and briefing will be conducted in Skardu.
On the second day, We will fly to Skardu in the morning. Skardu is the logistic hub of expeditions and trekking in the Karakoram range. The flight from Islamabad to Skardu will provide spectacular views of the Himalayas and Karakoram mountains and we should be able to see Nanga Parbat towering among other peaks.
Upon arrival in Skardu, one of our staff will be waiting at Skardu Airport and will escort the clients to the partner hotel. Upon early arrival, we would have enough time to rest and pay a visit to the local Bazar and the outskirts of Skardu city.
Skardu is a mountainous town along the Indus river, surrounded by mountains. After breakfast, we will check our gear and apparel for Gangchan peak Expedition, and will buy or rent if something is missing. If we are done with our equipment we will go on an acclimatization hike to the kharpocho and old castle some hundred meters hike from Skardu Bazars. The fort provides a breathtaking view of the Indus river, Skardu, and its Surroundings.
Early in the morning, we will leave for Saisko village. We will drive to Saisko Village with our crew and supplies. It's a 5-7-hour jeep drive from Skardu to Saisko. After half hour's drive from Skardu, we will reach the Shigar valley which hosts the second-highest peak (K2) on the planet. We will go through the lush green fields of Shigar valley along the Shigar river and the valley is narrowed as we further proceed to the mountains. The narrow track will lead us to Saisko driving along to the Basha River.
A 3 hours drive from Skardu we will reach Chutron Village, there is a hot spring in the village. After taking bath in the hot spring and lunch we will resume the journey, which is a 2-3 hours drive away from the Hot spring. At Saisko Village our porters, climbing assistants, and kitchen crew will join us and escort us to Gangchan Peak Base Camp. Our staff establishes tents and the participants will be served a hot cup of tea with cookies and snacks. We will take dinner in our mess tent and camp overnight in a fully serviced campsite.
On this day we will trek to the Base Camp of Gangchan Peak with all our staff and supplies, it is an uphill steep trek of 3-4 hours. The porters will say goodbye at the base camp and the rest of the team including our kitchen and climbing staff will stay there till the end of the expedition.
