Itinerary

Your Lahore city tour begins with exploration of the historic heart of Lahore, where most of the city’s iconic Mughal landmarks are located close to each other. The day starts with a guided visit to Lahore Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Inside the fort, visitors explore key sections such as Sheesh Mahal, Alamgiri Gate, and royal courtyards, offering insight into Mughal architecture and governance.

After the fort, walk across to the Badshahi Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. Visitors can explore the mosque courtyard, main prayer hall, and surrounding views of the old city. Modest dress is required, and shoes must be removed before entering.

The Lahore city tour continues into the Walled City, where a guided walk takes you through narrow streets and traditional bazaars. Highlights include Wazir Khan Mosque, known for its tilework, Delhi Gate, and historic streets filled with local shops, craftsmen, and food vendors. Lunch is arranged nearby at Fort Road or a traditional restaurant.

Later, return to the hotel for rest. In the evening, guests may choose to dine at Fort Road Food Street or explore modern Lahore areas such as Gulberg.

Overnight stay in Lahore

Day two of the Lahore city tour focuses on cultural institutions and historic gardens. The day begins with a visit to the Shalimar Gardens, a Mughal-era garden complex featuring terraces, fountains, and pavilions. This site offers a peaceful contrast to the busy old city and provides insight into Mughal landscaping.

Next, visit the Lahore Museum, home to Gandhara sculptures, Mughal artifacts, manuscripts, and colonial-era collections. This museum is ideal for understanding the broader historical context of Lahore and the region.

After lunch in the Mall Road or Gulberg area, the tour heads towards the outskirts of the city for the Wagah Border Ceremony. This daily military ritual between Pakistan and India is a major highlight of any Lahore city tour, featuring marching drills, flag lowering, and enthusiastic crowd participation.

Following the ceremony, return to Lahore for dinner and overnight stay.

Overnight stay in Lahore

The final day of the Lahore city tour begins with an optional visit to a traditional kushti (mud wrestling) arena, where local wrestlers train in a centuries-old sport. This activity offers an authentic look into local culture and daily life.

The tour then proceeds to Shahdara, located across the Ravi River, to visit the Tomb of Emperor Jahangir, Nur Jahan’s Tomb, and nearby Mughal-era structures. These monuments are less crowded and allow visitors to explore Mughal funerary architecture in a calm setting.

After returning to the city, enjoy free time for shopping at Anarkali Bazaar, one of Lahore’s oldest markets, or Liberty Market, known for handicrafts, textiles, and souvenirs. This marks the conclusion of the Lahore city tour, followed by transfer to the airport or onward destination. our 3 days lahore trip is concluded.
