Machulo La K2 Viewpoint Trek is one of the easiest, shortest, and most affordable trek in Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. Providing a breathtaking view of K2, Gasherbrum peaks, and Nanga Parbat, it starts from Machulo Village, with a gradual ascent to the panoramic Machulo La. This trek is ideal for all trekkers offering a glimpse of five 8000m peaks in just two days.

Embark on a 6-7 hour jeep journey covering 153 km to reach Machulo at an altitude of 2700m. Machulo, situated in the Hushe Valley, is renowned for its towering peaks, including Laila Peak, K6, and K7. Explore the historic mosque, stroll along the streets, and enjoy river views in this picturesque valley. Overnight stay in a hotel.
Start the trek from Felix Guest House after a leisurely breakfast. A 3-4 hour walk through Machulo town leads to Camp I at Khadi Broq, situated at 3200m. The trail is slightly steep but manageable, offering captivating views.
Embark on an easy yet slightly steeper trek to Camp II, Qouli Brangsa. The trail gradually ascends, providing encounters with local residents and their cattle, producing butter and cheese. Enjoy the unique experience of interacting with locals and observing their daily activities. Camp II is located at an altitude of 4150m.
Start the challenging ascent to Camp III, K2 Viewpoint, reaching an altitude of 5200m. The steep yet rewarding hike traverses green pastures, offering sightings of wild animals, local livestock (Yak, Zomo), and a variety of birds. Every step unfolds mesmerizing views of Karakorum peaks, including K2, Gasherbrum ranges, Broad Peak, Mashabru, Nanagma Valley, Amin Braq, and more. Camp III provides a panoramic 360-degree view of Siachen Glacier, Chorbat Valley, Nanga Parbat, and the Shyiok River. Descend from K2 Viewpoint to Machulo, a 6-hour journey. Rejuvenate at the hotel with a hot shower and wifi connectivity to reconnect with friends and family.
Drive back to Skardu from Machulo, visiting Khaplu Fort en route. Explore Upper Kachura Lake in Skardu before spending the night in a hotel.
